The SC System, which replaced the QS mark, aims to regulate food production and food safety – while improving product tracing in China. SC is an abbreviation for “Sheng Chen” which translate to manufacturing. Manufacturers are required to comply with stipulated regulations and are assigned an identification code comprising the alphabets “SC” and 14 digits.
